In the spotlight: Bernd Jüptner
Behind every successful company are exciting personalities—and it is precisely these people we would like to introduce to you in our blog series In the Spotlight. Here you can find out what drives our colleagues, how they organize their daily work, and what passions they pursue in their private lives.
This time, we spoke with Bernd about trends and changes in the industry and his requirements at adverserve. He also gave us some exciting insights into his hobbies and interests. Enjoy getting to know him!
Introduce yourself in 3 words?
Structured, team-oriented, and eager to learn.
Do you have a favorite quote or motto that inspires you?
„One cannot not communicate.“ (Paul Watzlawick)
Hobbies and stuff?
I have been doing endurance sports for many years, as after a certain amount of time I am able to switch off completely and concentrate fully on the here and now. I also love traveling, and there are still so many countries to discover.
Last but not least, I have been a huge Star Wars fan since my early youth. The first three videotapes I received as Christmas presents were Star Wars parts 4, 5, and 6. In my opinion, these are the best parts and true classics. Of course, the lightsaber I built myself at Disney World Orlando is also a must-have in my collection. With that in mind: “May the force be with you.”
Why adverserve?
I am very happy and grateful to have been part of adverserve for just over a year now. I have the opportunity to work on many different projects (digital marketing, graphic design, tracking & consent, etc.). My working days are very varied, which makes my job incredibly interesting and diverse. However, the most important thing for me is the fact that I have super friendly and competent colleagues with whom I can exchange ideas at any time. The team culture and working environment suit me in every way.
What skills are particularly important for your role?
As I work in a wide variety of areas, as described above, I need a range of different skills. On the one hand, good project management and a structured approach to work are required. On the other hand, there are many projects that require very creative and innovative approaches.
What trends or changes in your industry are you following with particular interest?
I have been working with artificial intelligence (AI) for several years now. In the beginning, I experimented a lot in the graphic design field with Adobe Photoshop and similar programs. I discovered some very useful functions, such as format adaptations, retouching, etc., which make my daily work much easier. At adverserve, areas such as video generation, Copilot with a focus on CD-compliant PowerPoint templates, and optimization strategies were added. I assume that all these topics will continue to accompany me for a long time to come.
LinkedIn oder Meta?
I’m definitely a LinkedIn person. I said goodbye to Meta and similar platforms many years ago because they’re not my world. I use LinkedIn almost every day and always come across really interesting reports. It’s also exciting to see which areas/companies friends, acquaintances, former fellow students, etc. end up in..
